Q.1- Tell us about yourself.

Thank you sir for giving me the opportunity today. My name is Kazi Habibur Rahman, I came from Hatijheel Rampura Dhaka. I did my high schooling at Sher-e-Bangla High School, Dhaka, and I have done my Honors and Masters In accounting from Jagannath University, Dhaka, I have done my CA inter group A from ICAB and CA CC from Ali Zahir and Company, additionally I am a registered Income Tax Practitioner from NBR and so many interests including fitness, marathon, swimming, traveling, reading, and this is my 4th job interview in my career. I voluntarily retired from my last job at Bata Shoe Company Bangladesh as an Accounts and Finance Manager on April 30, 2024.

I learn any subject quickly. And as a 'people person,' I can always deal positively with other departmental staff on any matter, which is good for any company. Q.3- What is your biggest weakness?

My biggest weakness is that I don't have the experience of standing up on a stage and speaking in front of a large crowd. But I am very keen to improve in this regard, if any opportunity arises here to gain experience in this regard I would like to take advantage of it.

আমার সবচেয়ে বড় দুর্বলতা হল মঞ্চে দাঁড়িয়ে বিশাল জনতার সামনে কথা বলার অভিজ্ঞতা আমার নেই। তবে আমি এই বিষয়ে উন্নতি করতে খুব আগ্রহী, এখানে যদি এই বিষয়ে অভিজ্ঞতা অর্জনের কোন সুযোগ আসে তবে আমি তা কাজে লাগাতে চাই।

Q.4 - How do you deal with a conflict with a colleague?

Before I talk to any of my colleagues in person, I try to be careful if I'm saying anything confrontational, and if I do, deal with it in a way that we both feel comfortable with. I will always put my team's needs first and try to overcome conflicts so we can move forward quickly. Q 5- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I hope to work in this company in the same post or any of the above posts. Q.6- What is your ideal work environment?

I love a positive work environment, where everyone in the team is constantly improving at work and which helps the business grow and develop. আমি একটি ইতিবাচক কাজের পরিবেশ পছন্দ করি, যেখানে দলের সবাই কর্মক্ষেত্রে ক্রমাগত উন্নতি করছে এবং যা ব্যবসার বৃদ্ধি ও বিকাশে সহায়তা করে।

Q.7- How would other people describe you?

I hope my friends and former colleagues will identify me as an enthusiastic and supportive person. Because whenever they needed any help, they got me at short notice. (আমি আশা করি আমার বন্ধুরা এবং প্রাক্তন সহকর্মীরা আমাকে একজন উত্সাহী এবং সহায়ক ব্যক্তি হিসাবে চিহ্নিত করবেন। কারণ যখনই তাদের কোনো সাহায্যের প্রয়োজন হয়েছিল, তারা আমাকে স্বল্প নোটিশে পেয়েছিলেন।)

Q.8- Describe yourself in 3 words.

I would describe myself as productive, commercially aware and self-motivated. Productive means you will always see me doing good things for this business. Commercially aware means I understand the importance of doing a good job on time to help the business grow. Self-motivated means I quickly and consciously adapt myself to my team's goals to help them achieve them.

Q.9- What is your biggest achievement?

I have some achievements in several respects, one of them is savings of around 50 lakh taka under a hardship savings project and it will be regular. It was during production that after several products were fully processed if they did not pass the quality test, the complete shoe would burn and destroy. A lot of money had to be spent on this burning. For this, the wages of the workers had to be paid. A fire service vehicle had to be kept. For burning, diesel and other accessories had to be spent, for a few days. I found out whether there was a demand for those products in the market and then arranged to sell them to make an extra income. (বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে আমার কিছু অর্জন আছে,

তার মধ্যে একটি কষ্ট সঞ্চয় প্রকল্পের আওতায় প্রায় ৫০ লাখ টাকা সঞ্চয় এবং তা নিয়মিত হবে। এটি উত্পাদনের সময় ছিল যে বেশ কয়েকটি পণ্য সম্পূর্ণরূপে প্রক্রিয়াকরণের পরে যদি তারা গুণমান পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ না হয় তবে সম্পূর্ণ জুতাটি পুড়ে যাবে এবং ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে। এই পোড়ানোর জন্য অনেক টাকা খরচ করতে হয়েছে। এজন্য শ্রমিকদের মজুরি দিতে হয়েছে। ফায়ার সার্ভিসের একটি গাড়ি রাখতে হয়েছে। পোড়ানোর জন্য ডিজেলসহ অন্যান্য জিনিসপত্রের জন্য খরচ করতে হয়েছে, কয়েকদিন। বাজারে সেসব পণ্যের চাহিদা আছে কি না তা খুঁজে বের করে বাড়তি আয় করার জন্য সেগুলো বিক্রি করার ব্যবস্থা করেছি।)

02- Monthly Accounts of Bata have to be submitted within a specified period. It was 2 weeks, and globally there was pressure to reduce this time but it was not happening, in this case, I managed to reduce it to about 2.5 days.

Q10 - What do you do outside of work?

A. Outside of work I try to keep myself active, as a marathon runner I occasionally participate in various events. It keeps me motivated and it also helps increase my concentration at work. I am a family person and I often spend weekends with my loved ones. Finally, I like to read religious books and self-development books.

11. Have you ever dealt with conflict with upper-level management? How did you resolve it? This question looks at your interpersonal skills.

Ans: "In one instance, I had a disagreement with management regarding risk assessment priorities. I scheduled a meeting to discuss our perspectives openly, presenting data to support my position while also listening to their concerns. This collaborative approach led us to a compromise that addressed both our priorities."

12. How do you ensure compliance with policies during your audits?

This question evaluates your understanding of compliance frameworks.

Ans: "I ensure compliance by thoroughly reviewing relevant policies and procedures before conducting audits. During the audit, I verify adherence through interviews and documentation checks, providing recommendations for any identified gaps."

Q. 13 - Why do you want to work for us?

Ans. I want to work for your company because you are socially responsible, you have a strong set of workplace values that along with my own ambitions and aspirations, and you have a brilliant track record of achievement. If i am successful, i am genuinely see myself working for your company for many years to come. Q.14 - Tell me about a time when you failed.

Ans. In my last job i was working as part of a team that failed to finish a project on time. We simply failed because we had not listened to the brief fully at the start of the project, and things got missed. As soon as we realized we had made a mistake, we informed our manager, we apologized and we discussed what we had learned from the experience. Q.15 - Why do you want to leave your current job?

Ans. I want to leave my job because i am seeking a fresh challenge with an exciting and innovative company such as yours that has ambitious plans for the future. Q.16 - Why should we hire you?

Ans. I believe you should hire me because i am a very fast learner and i need little supervision moving forward. I also believe you should hire me because i will represent your business positively, and i will treat your customers well. I will also ensure i find ways to help the business grow, whilst also helping you to save money by using resources in a frugal and responsible manner. Q.17 - What did you dislike about your previous job?

Ans. There was only one thing that frustrated me slightly about my last job, and that was the fact that i felt we could have achieved so much more as a company. There were lots of opportunities in the market for us to expand and grow, but the company owners seemed satisfied with where the company was at. Outside of work I try to keep myself active, as I am a marathon runner and participate in various events from time to time. It keeps me motivated and it also helps increase my concentration at work. I am a family person and I often spend weekends with my close ones. Finally, I like to read religious books, self development books. Q.19 - What can you do for us that other candidates cannot?

I will cultivate a variety of skills, and qualities in the team that will help the business grow. I am a strong communicator and try to solve problems without upsetting my boss. I will take care of the organization's customers resulting in increased sales. I bring a level of knowledge to this role that I believe is unrivaled, and I will always work hard to ensure that you see a positive return on your investment by hiring me.
